The MD does not lack automation. It has autopilot and autothrottles. It also has EFIS and RNAV. What it doesn't have is an interface between the autopilot and the autothrottles...that becomes the pilot's function.

The MD is more labor intensive but that makes it more fun to fly for some people.

November was predominately MD80. Can the training department handle two big classes in a row?

Just how many pilots does Allegiant plan on hiring 2017 and 2018?

For the new-hires who are bummed they didn’t get the Bus or 757 (like I was), you’ll become fond of the old girl and be glad you got the type before they go bye bye. She’s hot, smelly, greasy, yet gratifying… just like the strippers you’ll meet during Vegas new-hire training

It's not unheard of to be 2-3 weeks into class (before systems) where someone will come in and offer to the class a different airplane type that wasn't originally offered.

I actually would love to fly the MD I have heard she is a blast to fly, but I am more worried about the schedule that comes along with it and I really don't want to get displaced if I move to PIE
