Fellas,

Anything in the rumor mill about G4 having a pilot base opening up at KJAX in the near future?

Rumor I heard from quite a few captains was Austin, or even San Antonio.

This is rumor of course, so take it with a micro grain of salt. If it actually does ever happen I will be on that like white on rice. A man can dream tho, a man can dream.

Austin and Indy sounded like they had real potential for becoming bases in the last town hall meeting.

Drop a trip and use sick bank to cover the loss of pay from the drop. Us crusty old guys here are getting 12-13 hours a month sick bank makeup for these first 18 months. That's a lot of paid for trip drops and so a lot of open time for people who want to fly.

You can by calling in sick, and when they ask if you would like to be paid from your sick bank, you say yes. The caveat is, it is a sick call. You can call and drop, and get paid, but that's the PTO bank, and even the crusty old guys aren't getting 12-14 hours of that, a month.

Actually you can use it for dropper trips. After Dec PTO doesn't exist anymore.

You can't use the bump time that's accruing for dropped trips ( the extra time being given the first 18 months), only your regualar sick accrual (i.e. Bout 4 hours a month)
