Over staffed? What base/equipment are you in? The 80 has daily VFN's out of SFB and PIE.

Should be interesting as it's been said that attrition is back to pre-contract levels.

Hard to have a hiring boom when you're leaking pilots.

Other persistent rumor seems to be $20/hr across the board raise to slow attrition

That doesn't make any sense. Why would the company commit to a long term cost for a short term problem? And if it's junior people leaving, then why would they make an across the board raise?

Attrition was planned at 6 per month. I believe we're close to that. Some people will leave for bigger jets or pay, but I don't see an exodus.

Its not that high. Even at 200 from the bottom is only 0-3 per month.

It's also been said that I have a 12 inch co.... we'll, you get the picture.

See above... Just because it's on the internet (or in a FB post by MB) doesn't make it true.

Attrition: If you look carefully through the seniority list it's minimal. The few people that have left have been primarily from the bottom of the list with a few recently upgraded (12-18 month) -80 guys. We've had 4 or 5 go to Delta.

There will be no pay raise to stem attrition and it's just not how our management team rolls. In addition, a $20 an hour raise doesn't solve any problem. IF someone really wanted to start a good (believable) rumor, they should say that to stem attrition the company is FINALLY going to purchase a true scheduling system that ACTUALLY honors seniority and hire additional help in payroll so our pay is correct more than it's not.
