Hello all,

Just got an email from the HR team saying they will keep the resume and review it and asked me to keep updating it. Also, I may receive communication for next step in my application in the near future. Is this common? Or are they saying No thank you in a good way?

I would love to move to FL, used to live in DAB area. Anyway, but now I am living in a different continent. Flying 744 and have about 3500TT and 0 PIC.

Anyway, I read some of the posts and I know that commuting is not the best option when one is coming to Allegiant. However, is the flying schedule is always 1-2 round trips from base airport? How does the 11-12 min days off usually get broken off. 1 day on 1 day off most of the time? Do you guys have layovers ever?

APC page mentions Pittsburgh as a base, how big is it and what kind of equipment is based there- MD80 or AB? How senior is it? How about PIE? Do bases open and close often at Allegiant? Is living about 3 hours drive from a base a good option? Don't need to be home every day. But once in a while.

Thank you

If they want to say TBNT, they will. Maybe they think something is incomplete, or want you to get a little bit more time before bringing you in. Keep updating, and you might get the invite for the MD80 CBTs and video interview shortly.

Trips depend on base. Some day trips are out and backs, some involve three or four legs. The tendency tends to be, more legs, more junior. The only layovers that we see are the result of mechanicals at outstations, or occasionally on charters, but are very rare.

Tuesdays and Saturdays tend to be slow days, but still some flying and some reserves those days. The days off seem to vary by base, but some people bid to have multiple blocks of consecutive days off, but again, can be difficult with Tuesday/Saturday schedules.

The day trips, tend to make commuting difficult. Some do it. Some choose VBD, which allows them to collect per diem and a hotel/rental car and "live" in various bases each month. Most tend to appreciate the QOL that goes along with driving to work, and being home each night. Living 3 hours away makes for a long drive to and from work during day trips, and expensive if you need to get a hotel or crash pad.

PIT is an Airbus base, generally fairly junior.

PIE is both Airbus/MD80, but will all airbus by the end of the year for sure. Not super senior, not super junior.

Yes management said 4 to 8 %? That was the number thrown out by training and CP

I am near the bottom of the list and I have moved up 20 numbers in 6 months. That's about 2.5%/year.

Quick question for those who have recently applied. I submitted my online app yesterday. However, under application status there is nothing listed. It doesn't say submitted or received. Is this normal or did I screw something up?

There needs to be a separate thread for application questions. We need to preserve this thread for phony rumors and infighting.

Too many of my FO's are gettin grabby on the tiller, that ain't yours to grab!! When are we gonna disable that? Andreas did us a huge disservice by spreading false info about what FCOM actually was.

I've never had an FO grab the tiller.

My only issue with many newhires is the view that an FO's job is to monitor the Captain for mistakes rather than plan ahead and work to make his/her day easier. If something is going to be unsafe or require a report to be filled out by all means speak up... but if you are just of the opinion you would do it different then let it go.
