There are people that have been here over a year and are still waiting on IWA.

How about SFB out of training? If it's an all bus class, is it fairly easy to bid vbd and just do that until holding SFB or is vbd senior on the bus?

Most junior Airbus SFB FO is 11/2016.

Most junior MD80 SFB FO is at the bottom of the last 80 class(3/2017).

Most junior VBD Airbus FO is 9/2016.

If you get an 80 class, you're in very good shape for SFB.

I predict there'll be a few vacancies come up as the dust from the IWA transition settles. Probably this fall, still probably 12-18mo to hold as a newhire though.

What do you think is on the horizon for G4 after the fleet transition is complete:

New bases, routes or focus areas of the lower 48?
International?
Fleet size and type of Airbus?

Growth is purposely stalled until after the transition is completed. We had a town hall meeting yesterday. Growth will resume including new bases after 2018, although 1 to 2 new bases can be expected in 2018. But I don't believe for a minute that at least some minimal growth will continue to occur between now and then. The company is an opportunistic buyer of Airbus aircraft as they become available.

After the transition, the company is on record as saying they believe there are opportunities for growth in the Caribbean, Mexico, and Latin America. Additionally, after the transition, we can expect to see some longer legs producing overnight stays as well as red-eye flights.

The immediately goal is to be a 900 pilot company by the completion of the transition in late 2018 or early 2019 if I heard it correctly.

Does anybody know where I can find an MD 80 FTD somewhere on the west coast to practice a little before the interview?

So, not necessary. The sim eval is the easiest part of the interview. Steep turns, climbs descents, determine holding pattern entry (don't actually have to hold), determine radial and distance to a pre-tuned VOR, and fly an ILS that you are already set up for. The instructor is there to handle setting up the airplane, you just need basic instrument skills.

I know, I might be overthinking it... I've read multiple feedback and it seems to be consistently as predicted and easy. Still, I don't know how many other candidates there will be but I'm pretty sure I will fall on the lower end as far as experience and I want to absolutely ace the interview.
