DL probably 1500 (?) additional new hires 2014-today va AA.

Approx half of the AA new hires are flows. Avg age 47-48(?) vs a new hire avg of approx 36. So at age 53 will the AA count of guys senior to a guy hired today be approx 1,000 at AA vs 3,000 at DL?

Other UA data appears to be from 2012 so it might not include 2013+ new hires.

AA data and DL data is current as of early 2017.

Well the DL data I had was flat out wrong. It looks like I mixed up who's data the screen shot I was given applies to. A guy gave me the real DL numbers(thanks!!!). Checking APC' data vs the screen shot I was given looks like what I thought was DL retirements is more likely UA's retirements.

Whew. No guarantees on accuracy but trying to get there...

UA post 2050 retirements of 139 aligns with two 2050/2051 UA retirements said their final numbers will be.

AA spike in 2030-2034 is perhaps due to the AE flow throughs. F/T 2014 avg age was 49 which would be 2030 (+/-) retirees.

The guy who gave me the accurate DL data choose AA over DL based on the retirement data. If he's 32 he'd retire at 353 at DL vs 37 at AA, age 60 would be 1717 vs 422, age 55 would be 2993 vs 936, age 50 would be 4327 vs 2018. Huge difference.

FYI

For July, highest seniority number on the line 15078, LGA FO 737
short call reserve. The number of pilots on line is 13053. The difference
is probably staff and guys on leave.

And approx. 425(?) retirements since the seniority list was published last July.

I don't know how guys on long term disability are counted. That might be another couple hundred.

There were about 200 removed from the list after the merged list came out. Junior people should expect to go up around 600 when the new list comes out next month.

The prelim that just came out put a little different spin on this thread:

PHX 320/CLT 320/DCA 737 went to very junior pilots, like bottom of the list guys. Nice to see those that want those bases and fleets able to get them right out of training.

ORD continues to be very tough to get into. The bottom guy who got the award could very nearly hold LGA 737 CA (12100 ish seniority).

Despite having a ton of junior pilots, LAX seems to be getting more senior to transfer into. We haven't seen it awarded in new hire classes for quite awhile and there was no movement into the base on this award.

Granted its just PHL and retiring soon, but isn't the E190 nearly comparable to that?
