You must be looking at different numbers than I see.
10/17 currently show bottom 73 ORD is 14027.

Bottom LGA Capt around 11,200

I bet LGA 737 capt goes to around 11.5 on this bid.

The latest bid didn't have any LGA capt vacancies.. Just 4 737 FO slots. Most of the slots were WB positions. Since summer is winding down, I suspect the next bid (Nov) to be somewhat larger.

IMO it will probably be close to 10,500 or 11,000 vs 11,500.
We'll have new seniority numbers by then.

New hire said he's showing a gain of approx 800(?) numbers. Seems too much considering the expected and known retirements. Perhaps LTD guys being removed from the active pilots list? IDK.

There doesn't have to be any vacancies posted in a category for people to get in. Group 4 captain vacancies translate into lots of open positions as people bid up.

Just for comparison's sake...

I upgraded in March to LGA/CA/737, been holding steady LC reserve, and held a line for the first time for August. Sen # 9500ish, 89% on the LGA 737 CA list.

It's moving, and fast.
