I'm was waiting for a class date at UAL. But it's important to time my exit and entrance to the next step in my career. UAL seems to be unorganized and unreliable. Not feeling it anymore and don't want to chance getting boned. Is AA likely to stop hiring any time soon? If you get a Class Date at AA is it pretty solid?

Side note: I don’t miss Scott Kirby at all. It’s just a shame they had to pay him to leave.

I wasn’t sure how the company would react to the virus panic, but based on the August vacancy and forecasts, 787 staffing is increasing for the foreseeable future. New routes to New Zealand, India, and Tel Aviv start later this year so I guess the company is taking the long view, for now. That’s good.

FWIW I happened across a quote from IAG's either outgoing or incoming CEO the other day. Paraphrased, they basically said in past virus scares they've cut capacity quickly and deeply only to not be positioned to take advantage of the increased demand following the event.
I'm trying to be somewhat optimistic and hope Parker is talking to our int'l folks and coordinating schedule changes with this in mind.

Kirby is the best network guy in the world with a personal vendetta against AA. I’d take Kirby over DUI Doug any day. Neither one is the friend of the pilot.
