FWIW I happened across a quote from IAG's either outgoing or incoming CEO the other day. Paraphrased, they basically said in past virus scares they've cut capacity quickly and deeply only to not be positioned to take advantage of the increased demand following the event.

I'm trying to be somewhat optimistic and hope Parker is talking to our int'l folks and coordinating schedule changes with this in mind.

"Hey let's take the runner up at our competition and put him in charge of our company?"

New Mission Statement: Second Place is good enough.

Kirby is the best network guy in the world with a personal vendetta against AA. I’d take Kirby over DUI Doug any day. Neither one is the friend of the pilot.

How do you figure? I acknowledge United has a great network (Asia exposure notwithstanding) but that existed way before Kirby showed up. What did Kirby do to make it better?

Pretty sure SK is the main reason behind UALs growth in DEN as well as IAH and ORD in the past 3 years. DEN has increased significantly since his arrival

I'd take either one of them over Isom!

Southwest Decrease in Demand

A single data point vs one whole airline’s.

SWA has been saying that since January due to the MAX.
