As an example. 20 ft truck. Pick up Oct 1. Typical.
Dallas to San Francisco $1,457.00
San Francisco to Dallas $3,206.00
Twice the price out of SFO.
Told you that you will not be pleased. Look for yourself.
Bother me no more.

Once again, I asked if you were staking your claim on the viability of California’s economy on u hauls website and you said there was more to it. No **** it’s more expensive leaving. As a California native who has moved out and in several times over 20 years it has always been that way. Canary in a coal mine my ass. Maybe u haul wants to keep more trucks in state because they do good business here. Analyze more than one piece of data and get back to me. Or what else did you read on info wars this week?

I previously said: “Even if I took the time to look up the citation for reference, you would want to continue to belabor the point.“
airlinegypsy just proves my point.

No, I asked for more than some anecdotal evidence from UHaul. I told you the pricing has been that way for at least 20 years and you say this is new and alarming.
Searching out one data point to prove your argument is called confirmation bias. One way rates out of California being higher is not indicative of a mass exodus. All it points to is a large national corporation wanting to keep more of its assets in the most populous state.
After re reading your first post in this back and forth I should have realized that you were only alluding to this UHaul “fact.” Shame on me for assuming that your argument had anything deeper to it.

15+ years ago I needed to move from NJ to FL. The Penske truck was $2750 one way NJ -> FL or $250 FL -> NJ and came with unlimited miles. You can see where this is going.
I rented FL to NJ and did the drive up and down the east coast 4x. The total cost of the move was around $1100 after gas, tolls, and the one way ticket on AirTran. I did it in eight days, including packing the truck and unloading it! What a pain. In retrospect it was probably cheaper to just buy new stuff and just drive my car down.
A harbinger of things to come for NJ? Maybe. It's still there. CA will always be desirable due to its climate and terrain. Lots of international money flows into CA real estate as well.
