You're high or just self defeating. Not only has numerous news articles been written about this, our own Government Affairs committee has said this thing is going to get extended.
Sure, maybe you know more than everyone else. But I'll trust the people who work directly with the Senators and Congressman in Washington who actually know first hand what's going on. I spoke with one of them just yesterday about Cares Act 2.0
I'm not going to type out every detail of our nearly hour long conversation, but bottom line is that we will have an extension of the airline PSP within the next week. Two weeks tops.

So you support concessions? You support furloughing more pilots? You support eroding seniority?
We can go around the block all day on this. Either way, the company will get what it needs/wants. The union just made it easier and cheaper for them to do it. Assuming we actually have to go down that road, if the CARES Act support isn’t extended for 6 months.

You can either take the straight F, or take a ztl in lieu of F and keep medical. It is an option, and you clearly have an opinion that the ZTL provides more benefit to the company than the pilots and allows them to furlough more pilots cheaply. I am not going to argue with you on that point. I will say that if a senior pilot doesn't elect to take an option while a junior pilot does, nothing happened out of seniority. That is the same as every other displacement bid in the history of the world. This is a raw deal and we're all going to take it in the shorts one way or another, so man up and get ready for the punch. Nothing can stop it. You can stop yourself from whining though.
It all comes down to this: If you truly believe that the ZTL provides more good for the company than it does the pilots, you will take the furlough. If you publicly claim that these deals are bad for pilots and good for management while also taking one of these deals, one of the following is true; you don't really believe what you're saying and just want to yell, or you want to screw pilots and help the company.

This is the very first time I have seen the extension actually mentioned as biding in the Bill. But:
THE BIG CAVEAT: Senate leaders haven’t even committed to going forward with another coronavirus package, let alone with the big spending and major policy proposals within the House’s $3 trillion bill. The chances for many of these provisions becoming law are extremely slim to non-existent, although there may be other vehicles like must-pass spending bills later in the year.
