As has been mentioned previously, TTOT was given away years ago. The company was just too lazy/incompetent to implement the inevitable change to TTS 2.0. AA puts the “SH” into “IT” as well as any company.
There was a massive discussion on the impacts of this on The Line pre-COVID. Search for it, it’s worth a read. AW from the scheduling committee had some great analysis into the good/bad/ugly of it all.

Full disclosure
It has been a while since I read the TTS 2.0 documents but I do remember that it has to go through at least one TTS run so it may not be 24 hours just one run. That said on a ZTL you can’t stalk LS waiting for something to pop and hope you have the quickest fingers.

You guys hearing about this TTS 2.0 crap now? Another stab in the back from APA. Apparently they're changing our trip trading system from first come first serve like it is now, to a seniority based system.
So if you want to trip trade or pick up anything, you have to enter parameters. Then you get it only if someone senior doesn't want it too. And this is something APA requested..it wasn't management. And with ZTL lines that pretty much ensures the 2500 will never fly.
Another way APA is making clear they only care about senior pilots. This is turning into a tragic comedy.
