TTOT was supposed to go away for a while now. Hopefully the new product is worthwhile, but I’m not holding my breath

Wasn’t TTS always seniority based? I always used TTOT, which is first come first served.

TTS 2.0 is part of the unimplemented portion of the JCBA known as DOTC/RAS. This was in the works before COVID 1984.

So if you want to trip trade or pick up anything, you have to enter parameters. Then you get it only if someone senior doesn't want it too. And this is something APA requested..it wasn't management. And with ZTL lines that pretty much ensures the 2500 will never fly.

Another way APA is making clear they only care about senior pilots. This is turning into a tragic comedy.
if true this follow up action really shows the original intent.

I prefer APA over ALPA due to the fact that APA serves one airline versus ALPA which serves numerous airlines. Having said that, I'm extremely disappointed how our BOD has handled the attempted furlough mitigation. There were other options that could have been negotiated that would have had a much more realistic effect in mitigating furloughs.
I agree, switching unions is not eliminating certain db's that are either completely incompetent, or are milking the system. One fix might be introducing term limits and fences transferring from union to management.

What is the ratio of the BOD with regards to LAA, LUS, LAWA and TL? My hope in fixing this drama is to have more fresh blood (TL) in the union. Not saying that all boomers are bad, but looking back at f ups, I realize that the list is very long.

Ok, I am getting ready now to get beat up by R57 & co. ...

The knowledge that APA was very top heavy and primarily looked out for the interests of senior pilots at the expense of everyone else was already known long before Covid. And I don't 100% blame the NC and/or BOD for these LOAs. But I think it's bad form for a certain APA member to go on a long rant on BTL about their intentions, and how we should blame big bad management.

I have no doubt management plays dirty. But you're telling me APA hás NO leverage? And he along with the rest of them need to check their feelings. 2500 of us are going through an extremely stressful situation and facing the very real possibility of being without our source of income soon. Right before the holidays, no less.

hopes were that the NC would come back and tell us the company was planning on furloughing 1200, but through creative LOAs we brought that number down to X. Instead they came back and basically threw furloughs over the entire 2500 like a wet blanket. There is NO WAY management planned to furlough the entire 2500 originally.

APA needs to be more sympathetic to what we're going through.

You’re not alone, I’m ready to get beat up on line too. 😂, Clowns. The amount of Drama i’ve read since I started has been unbelieving.(restraining orders on members, dues being used like the BOD of the NRA?)
Now the the truth about how this went down needs to be addressed. This is for purposes going forward for the membership. Especially for the bottom 1/3. We would like to know if these LOAs are all we got because out NC threw a fit and quit at the most important time since the world changed. AA was ready and willing to work out options like THEY SAID EVERY WEEK, and the the REST of the industry. but our teams egos, feel bads got hurts so they just quit in the middle of the game. They then elect in the old guard who doesn’t GAF about anyone but their boys. (All planned) then straight up to sell out 2500 and protect the top w zero temporary changes, or compromises to the stats quo, say it. We were sacrificed to save the top? Because some day we will be senior? Just say it, we will accept it.

I don't think the original plan was to furlough 2500 when the company set out the WARN notices, however with the regression in bookings and overall drop in traffic again I think the company bumped that number back up. And I think the company came in and scared the $HIT out of the union with talks of having to furlough up to 4,000 pilots (or however many we have hired after Dec 13, 2013). It is just sad sad times we are in and short of Cares 2.0 and a vaccine I think A LOT of us are going to end up on the street unfortunately. At some point the airline will have to stop staffing an airline with 14,903 pilots when they are only flying one that requires maybe 10,000....the crazy thing is in like 4 years I think everyone on property today will be inside that 10,000 or very close to it...God this sucks.

I was hired they said over 50 percent of seniority list was set to be gone by 2027 from when I started.

Agree, Don't be surprised to see a total of 2500 or more due to the 2 for 1 on the Alternate month line. On some sort of active furlough come October. The company is going to max this LOA out the most they can.
