As AAL is paying debt down, Spirit is taking on new debt, to the tune of 600 million. Hey Excargodog, want to remind us what’s happening with the interest rates these days? Lol

As the economy turns very sour in 2023 I think all airlines are at risk of a sharp pull-back in hiring.

Where ya been? The economy is already very sour and was in bad shape during COVID too, people still traveled in record numbers when allowed to.

Hasn't the economy soured for the last year but it's getting better but the sky is also falling?

Remember from Economics 201: Stocks are a leading economic indicator, GDP changes are a coincidental economic indicator, unemployment rate (layoffs) are a lagging economic indicator.

Who published this story / source (1000 instead of 2000 new hires)? I'd like to know more about it.
