It really doesn't matter at AA. The vacancy grid is a flexible thing and the actual awards in no way mirror what was posted on the initial announcement.

How low do you think DFW 320 CA will go? I saw 70 vacancies (I and D).

On this bid, I’m guessing 5 years…summer 2017 hire.

It’ll be interesting to see how close you get… I’m in the 2019 group and have my bid in for it on the 737 LGA, so I’ll definitely be watching close. All I’ve ever known is 737 LGA so I’m used to all the complaints most have about NY and the base isn’t bad at all.

Now, once the day arrives where I’m a bottom CA getting nonstop 5am sign-ins at EWR, I’m sure that’ll change haha but for now LGA is probably going to be my base for a few years since I’m willing to deal with the suck of being junior in the left seat… if it happens

Keep in mind, that when the SL reshuffle happens in July, anyone currently at or above 9000 will come down by 1000-1100 SNs.

Whatever the historical effective SN for the junior man in a bid run will remain relatively constant -- simply because we have roughly the same number of senior positions that people want (WBs and NB CAs). What changes is the rapid reduction in time on property for those junior awards as a result of the rapid movement on the SL.

So with all that in mind, bids that come out for Aug/Sep (immediately post reshuffle) will have the "most senior" SNs for the year (at least in appearance), and the awards for Jun/Jul will appear to be "the most junior", since the reshuffle hasn't occurred and those pilots have the same junior-ish SN they've had for almost a year.

Bottom line... WB FO and NB doesn't go any more junior. It just happens more quickly.

you think 777 CA will go to 2001 DOH??? There are less than 1,000 total widebody captains at American.

the seniority number is irrelevant, we all answered with DOH, and that won’t change, but yes, I understand your point, if that’s how you look at list on a regular basis.

Where did I say 2001? What years do you think Clinton was president? What is junior 777 CA now? Methinks you missed the joke.
