What you have now is a still great system with an LAA clusterf∆ck aftertaste. Because things can never ever be great if they hadn't been invented in the mighty Different F∆(king World.

I'd ask the CA on my (denied boarding) way out if he is forced to put the toilet seat down at his home. CA Tough on the road, but total pu$$y at home.

Didn't used to be. The j/s was the only thing LUS and LAWA agreed on. Then came them DFW boys especially TW and effed it all up, because everything had to be by seniority. Because things had AAlways been this way and if they hadn't been invented here, duh! they were no good. (And you should be living in base anyway and one day you'd be senior).

What are all the tough talkers / AA haters on here doing about getting the Jumpseat changed? I hear a lot of anger at LAA for all the stuff they screwed up. Fair enough, I’m right there with ya… I, too, loved the LUS system. Now put your money where your mouth is… volunteer for a union position, send sound offs, be vocal about getting it changed. Or else quit your complaining. It’s easy to talk tough on an anonymous Internet forum.
Several years ago I did just that. Got fed up with the way stuff was going with the Jumpseat so I volunteered and got myself on the National j/s committee. I wasn’t always able to effectuate all the changes I wanted to see but some change did happen, and I put in the hard work and many hours to help out our newly merged pilot groups.
Just a thought… Maybe some of you here should consider that too, before trashing everything LAA without doing anything to change it (except constantly complaining.)
