Stable for now. Quality is deteriorating big time at Fed Ex. Can never count on a delivery arriving on time anymore and even when it says it is out for delivery you'll get hit with a "Unable to deliver today due to weather" notice even though it is sunny and in the 70s out. I cringe every time I order something and it says it is being sent with FedEx. With Amazon taking on all their own deliverys and going from a mechanical to more computer based world, do you really think package delivery is going to stay at this volume for the next 30 years? Plus single pilot cockpit is going to come to cargo way before it comes to Pax airlines, can you imagine the senority stagnation and furloughing that will happen when that takes place? There is a lot more to consider than just pay and what some bad apples say on APC.

It's amazing the misinformation out there in regards to Fedex.
I'm a lowly 4 year FO. I live in Florida. Almost NEVER "commute". Fedex pays for airline tickets to/from your trips. (as long as you're senior enough to hold deadhead trips). Im top status on AA, DAL, and UAL. I fly almost exclusively DAY flying. Unless I'm crossing the pond. Then it's the dreaded night flying one way (just like the pax airlines). Typically it is 0800 departure from outstation to hub, 2 hour flight, go to hotel for 4ish hours, 2hr afternoon flight back to outstation. Im a mid-seniority widebody FO making $200/hr. Life is good. My job isn't even comparable to my pax flying pals.
It's unreal how even my closest pilot friends don't understand my lifestyle.
It is night and day different from theirs (pun intended).
I make MUCH more money than them, I'm home MUCH more than them, never have to fly weekends or holidays.
I fly 300-400hrs per year. $250,000ish/yr.
Last year I averaged 17 days off per month.
Line bidding. There's nothing like line bidding with conflict!!
I choose to be senior rather than upgrade. Seniority is KING. At almost 4 years i can hold left seat in every jet except 777.
****The above will not be your life initially. But it doesn't take long to hold an amazing schedule/QOL.****
Not a "koolaid" drinker by any means. These are the facts.

It’s interesting how, for an airline that has so much of its business model predicated on express overnight shipping and the associated night hub turn flying, you can’t find anyone that will admit that they do that flying. Not on APC, at least.
I drop my entire schedule and fly easy turns or 1-1s, almost all in premium. I spend the night away from home around 3 nights a month on average. My Purple buddies overall do indeed make more than I do, and in some cases much more, but they’re gone from home WAY more than I am. Some even admit that they fly the dreaded night hub turns. Go figure.

Damn you block 300-400 hrs a year and only pull in that much!? As a fellow FedExer, I say you are doing something wrong. Your block hours are crazy high for here, unless you are on the triple (and doesn’t sound like you are). In years I bust my ass I only block maybe 300 hrs, but pull in much more than that.

Edit:
200-300 hours per year**
Fedex does pay for day rooms basically everywhere except IND/MEM
I could make much more but I'm not a draft/AVA/vacation BB person while on negotiations.
Not denying AM hub turns. We ALL did them when new/junior. Some folks prefer them apparently. Also depends on the jet you fly.
Every NH class is filled with AA/DAL/UAL pilots. Sometimes UPS.
Choose bigggg money and **** schedules. Or bigg money and great schedules.
Again, just facts. No koolaid here.

A mil buddy took a Covid Leave from AA, got hired by UPS, and left after almost two years to go back to his AA job.
FedEx and UPS are both fantastic places to work. If I could hop in a time machine, I’d absolutely consider one or both over AA. Grass is always greener. To each their own.
