Hey, I'm all for the 321 paying more than the 319 as well, in addition to an oceanic / deep south override for that flying that's inevitably coming. Whether that's a pay by type arrangement (ditching pay bands) or an override on group 2 pay, I just have little faith in their ability to effectively implement it. I guess maybe what I was hinting at is hopefully the company has made it clear how their systems can best handle that, and that's communicated effectively enough to the pilot group that we understand what's there.

Repost from another thread...these are the numbers from just a few weeks ago.
Keep in mind that system wide there are 461 777 Captains and 452 787 Captains. That's 913 out of a total of 14,827 pilots. And of those bottom junior folks on the WB most are out of seniority for the bid status...around 3200 being the current lowest. Lots of NB guys waiting for lineholder seniority on the WB I guess. Retirements vs. Growth definitely. I would not recommend AA for WB flying unless you are very patient and dont mind being based out of NY or MIA. Good airline QOL for a price...most definitely a commute for most. Guessing about 2/3 do but it could be more.

How beat up are we that we don't want appropriate pay because another department can't/won't do their job properly? **** them, let them figure out how to pay us. We deserve what we deserve, nothing less.
To your second point, I agree. This is the dumbest way to run pilot payroll. We should not need third party apps by former payroll employees just to know we were paid the correct amount. if we do our job incorrectly its catastrophic for the entire organization, how about the rest of the company holds themselves to the same standard.
