IMAX is available to anyone who is a lineholder, period!

Sure, please explain to me how IMAX works. It's not like there are not multiple guides and documents about it. I've read them all, and talked to pulots when do IMAX. They paint a different picture than you frankly. They have explained what their methods are too, but they all say they have to work to make it happen. Not arguing the end-game benefit for those who achieve it, but it is not without sacrifice.

Like I said, its a loophole, juat like our previous sick charge provision that is going away. Lets get rid of it and negotiate gains that benefit every single pilots (lineholders and reserves). That's what real airlines do. Instead we get imax and split duty.

man, one day maybe I’ll get to work at a real airline too. I can’t help you if you’re not willing to help yourself. I truly hope you and Suss and all the No voters out there figure out a way to survive when this thing passes. Good luck!!

You could negotiate a provision that pilots could opt into a system that pays a pilot 500% for entire schedule, but they have to be willing to be on Long call reserve every day except 4 days in the month, providing only 4 days off every single month. Sure they would be ABLE to do that, but who would want to do that?

Maybe we should get Feds banned in the AIP too??
ahh, here we go again. The "it doesn't happen to me so it is not a problem" syndrome that APA pilots seem to have. Jumpseaters get bumped from flights all the time due to weight, happens daily to the point where other airlines have taken notice. It happens quite often on shorter flights when a divert is needed.

maybe we have the “it doesn’t happen to me” syndrome because…..IT DOESN'T HAPPEN!!! You and your friends want to argue for protections for things that don’t exist. You want pay for not working and you ***** about the job AND the company YOU chose to work for!!!

What people need to realize about sumwherelse and other IMAX who@#$ is that QOL means nothing to them because all they care about is that block of time off in the end. So no wonder they are desperate for this pay only contract to pass. They are a leech on this pilot group and I would support negotiating the end of IMAX without anything in return.

If your situation truly represented a large enough % of the AA pilots population, than AA amd APA would not have the reputation it does in the real world, nor on the internet. Unfortunately your world is mot our reality. AA pilots will never be known as the pilot group that gets 4 months off at a time.

your data points are an extreme outlier. Way off of the curve.

all this being said, I'm happy you are able to achieve what works best for you. I'll continue to sacrifice vacation credit and sick time, as well 95% of the pilots group, to supplement your work strategies.
