2025 was 33 new hire classes
Thru October 29th we had hired 1290 pilots for 2025
November we had 179 start training
December will have 168 start training.

Total will be 1637 pilots for 2025

Thanks for that! Here's to 2026 looking similar.

Just some quick math, 13.7 pilots/plane and 36 new jets in 2026 is around 500 pilots hired for incoming deliveries. ~900 retirements and you get 1,400 pilots for the year. Maybe add a buffer for early outs etc and call it 1,500 is my estimate. Pretty solid year.

Thanks. Didn't realize it was so many.

Net 500 pilots is about a 3% increase in pilots. 1400-1500 is definitely plausible. ORD chiefs reinforced this the other day in a town hall meeting as well. Some one asked on PTT and as usual…AJ gave a non-answer

PTT is such as astronomical waste of time.

It’s pretty comical when PTT backs up some major route announcement such as SAT-DCA like it’s some next level genius move. I don’t think they all mean to sound patronizing but often it does come off as such… but hey- new coffee, right?

He can't even say Lavazza correctly. I just wished he wasn't even trying and we had someone else entirely do the Q&As.

I mean, it gets a good chuckle out of me sometimes. Apparently there's enough pilots out there asking why we don't wear name tags or why we don't have a spa at SV6 lol.
