That and our YOY growth for flight block hours from March 2025 to March 2026 is +5%, so things still looking good for hiring.

I'd imagine they'll re-evaluate in May/June with the pause if things get worse, but right all signs point to continued hiring.

There is not a summer pause every year, I debunked this last year when the claim was made. All you need to do is look at the seniority list and the hire dates to see exactly when AA has taken off in the past.


With that being said I wouldn't see anything unusual with a couple month pause this year, especially since we have been sizing up class sizes. Anything more then that would be unusual and indicate a change.
