Quote: So you are saying that you don't want to see this resolved through binding arbitration? If date of hire is the gold standard, as the east has said, then you should be ecstatic that the west is giving you a shot at it, winner take all. Ante up, folks.

You do realize that the merger with the APA will be done via arbitration. And USAPA will be gone in the next 4 months. Enjoy your ill gotten gains while you can, USAPA.
I will be right up front and say I hate the idea but not for the reasons you might think. I hate the idea because no group should be given a do over after they have a agreed to a process then refuse to honor said agreement. I would however set aside my personal feelings about the matter and go along with the idea.

Before I respond to this,I want to make sure I understand what AOL is proposing. They are asking for a new arbitration just between east and west and that list will be presented in MB. Did I read that correctly?

Yep, winner take all, DOH versus Nic. That's what I read in the letter.

They are proposing a resolution to the mess by allowing a neutral 3rd party to decide since the courts refuse to rule either way. Also they are showing apa and management a good faith effort at settling this mess before the apa takes over.

In poker they say the true test is to put a man to the test for all their chip and see if they fold or bet. Usapa will fold in this instance to afraid of the bet.

I've won a few poker tournaments (yes in Vegas). Only Amateurs put all of their chips at risk needlessly. When there is only $20 in the pot, why would anyone push $20,000 in the pot for one hand. (It's called pot odds) That's reckless poker. The only people you see do that are the hopeless gamblers (not poker players) or the folks that have nothing else to lose. Which one of those are you? I'll gladly fold my $2 in this pot and wait for the next hand (next negotiation or arbitration). Folks like yourself that keep pushing all in 99% of the time end up with nothing. I will be glad to sit back and patiently wait for you to make all of the mistakes. Seems like it's been awhile since AOL has won a court battle. We call what you're experiencing "on tilt".

Not true, (Poker) that is. The great Doyle Brunson has done just that and more than once. Now I think you might just call him the greatest poker player to ever live. Well not you east folk as you said you have won a tourny or two so that makes you the best then

I think I will stick with him as the best, sorry.

That's the funniest thing I've heard in a while!

Quote: I'm sure it will be a resounding "no", but that doesn't matter. The letter serves a greater purpose and there is a reason the apa/company are included in the correspondence.
You had your trial on the merits. All the threats are meaningless now.
