Quite interesting.

Us airways is moving to AA gates in JFK at the end of the month and MIA beginning of September.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again.

The two worst sources of rumors are:

1) The Training Dept.

2) The FAA inspector on your jump seat.

However, I fully believe the part about the E-190's. The majority of US pilots apparently didn't see that little land mine planted in the MOU when they voted "Yes".

They must have blinded by those swell new pay rates.

what's so bad about getting more 190s? The more A/C the better right?

I agree, the pay rates can be fixed through future contracts.

Saying no to more airplanes, relaxing scope, and outsourcing is never good.

I can see us getting back the rest from republic but I doubt they will place an order for brand new ones. They are expensive.

How many more do they have? I thought US took back all of the E190s that they leased to RAH?

What is wrong with the e190? It is small, but it seats 30 more passengers than the original DC-9!

The 100 seat airframe is the next niche and at least the airframes are at mainline. No mainline US operation is too good for this airframe.

Pay-rates will come in time.

I initially agreed with your statement, but these is not much of a used market for these planes. Is there? American will need a 100 seat airframe.

I saw an E190 in Denver yesterday, at least I think it was the 190...where do they operate to out of there?

Haven't heard this yet, but if true, THANK GOD! At least with regard to JFK, we can't leave that UA/BA dungeon soon enough. T8 is a terrific facility. And while MIA is fine where we are, AA's D gates are very nice and that obviously makes sense since the J gates we use now are as far as possible from American.

I really can't wait to move in ORD - getting away from the UAX zoo is long overdue.

Anyone have any idea what the plan is in LAX? Nobody has any room to spare there ...
