I would say so. My group interviewed 2 weeks ago (12-13th) and all but 1 got the email for the background check info. That person is under the assumption that means a TBNT letter is coming. We started an email chain to pass on info to one another as it came our way, and especially "the call", but the fact that they were the only one without the background email was a pretty good heads up, I think. Of course, nothing is official for any in my group yet. You're probably thinking you should hear something w/in 2 weeks, because most interviewees prior to this point did, I think. However, none in my interview group have been called yet. So, although quite difficult, believe you me, patience is the key. At least we all hope it's not a TBNT for all 20 of us!

For those who do the video interview, but hear nothing, try not to sweat it. A friend just got the F2F invite after 3 weeks. Folks that did the video interview well after him got the F2F invite first and he was pretty worried. In short, if you hear nothing, you are still in the running!!!

Is anyone getting the video interview or follow on steps with availability >6 months out? From the point you get a job offer, What is the latest you can defer your training start date? How long have most been waiting?

Who knows. I know a guy that has at least two CP recs along with several other CA recs and he hasn't heard 'boo'.
Flt dept mgt has said they're trying to keep their fingers(I want him...) out of the process to a greater extent than during the last hiring cycle.
