Thanks! and to make this even more awesome, one of my best friends from college and roommate from pilot training also got the video interview. We could potentially be in the same class, this is unreal!

Whoa!! Don't say that too loud. You'll give the DELDA'S a heart attack. Nobody leaves DL for another carrier.

Congrats though! Lots of people would kill to be in your shoes.

True I consider myself extremely lucky. Delta has been great, but my QOL improvements would offset my loss of relative seniority and the higher pay.

The only thing you'll lose is pay. I'm 38 and started in June, I'll retire almost 1000 pilots more senior at American than I would have at Delta…….. and American has a larger pilot group.

The seniority won't matter much to me since I'm a PHL guy and I'll be senior there eventually. I'm projected to retire #125 at DAL. At AA I would retire somewhere around #500 (age 33)

I used DALs seniority list and did it using excel and projected retirement dates of hitting 65. I don't have access to AA or US seniority lists so that's just an estimate based on their combined hiring totals and that most USAir hires are younger than me.
