DFW Super 80s and MIA 767/757 are where most new hires go. Occasionally there are MIA 737 spots but they are more rare.

Six months ago about 20 guys got it at 7 months. Since then, covering six months, one guy got it at the 10 month mark.

When's the next guy going to get in? Who knows?

S80 is going to newhires in almost every class for the last couple of months. When's it going to stop? Who knows?

Hopefully, there'll still be openings on it when we're finally one carrier. I'd really like a chance to fly it before it's gone!

I think DOA date for the S80 fleet is end of 2017(?)(2018?).

I'd think, as a n/b FO, you'll have the opportunity post SLI/SOC.

I hope so. There's a little nostalgia in my wanting to fly it. And I wouldn't put any money on dates when we retire things around here. It took 6 years to park the 737. (Said it'd be gone in 2008...last one flew 8/19/14).

I heard they recieved extensions on the S80 airframes and now they've removed their estimated retirement dates. Anyone know if this is true?

I too would love to fly some straight pipes before they're gone.

Any suggestions on what airframe to bid in oreder to get to ORD ASAP? And how long it would take to hold a position in ORD?
