I was hired at the end of Jan after interviewing Jan 10. I had been receiving roughly a monthly update from the hiring department on updates and the "we understand the delay sucks, but we're working on it," email update, but nothing for quite sometime now. Any official timeline updates from AA would be awesome at this point.

I got words from a reliable source that things are going to pick up in October. I don't know how many guys can hang on that long but it's something to look forward to.

Do you know if they are going to continue with classes in July through October and then just ramp up, or are the stopping all classes until October?
My guess would be they would continue at the slow pace they are going and then ramp up training in October. Hopefully they can atleast get the 40 of us in the pool through training before October.

They will comtinue to have classes until they begin furloughing.
Until approx October, they will be filled with returning deferees and flows.
After that, expect the returning deferees to be a very small factor until Mar 2019. The flows still get the same big chunk every month/class for a long time yet.

I heard that in Oct is when we can expect for hiring to start again and those who have not been offered a job yet (March interviews) should hear something. I assume they will continue classes for those still in the pool.

Returning furloughees that got the two year LOS bump had to come back by June. Finally opportunity to return is May 2016. Between June and May 2016 any furloughee can return if AA is hiring.
Why come back in July if you could come back in June and get a $10,000+ pay raise until you hit 12th year pay? Or if not July why return later this fall? So the expectation is that the number of guys undeferring will be fairly limited until they have to make a decision for May 2016.
Obviously there might be guys that want to come back but can't until sometimes this fall or early next year. That prevented them from returning by June and getting the two year LOS bump.
