Just saying-people should pay attention to the gouge and to what they are told.

In the interview, the interviewers were very clear about the not calling part. Essentially they said people are way too busy to be fielding 23 calls from everyone who is waiting to hear.

And the part about the "thanks but no thanks" if you didn't follow instructions was 100% correct. I definitely saw more than a couple people lamenting that they called when told not to.

-Just follow instructions. Every airline hates non-compliance.
As of August of last year US Airways has ceased to exist on the pilot hiring front; your experiences aren't going to mirror the current crop of guys going through it now.

When we start being treated as equals, we'll describe ourselves as equals.

I'm just hoping and praying we are still in the running for a FTF invitation. I'm sorry you're in the same boat, but it is nice to hear there is a small group of us. I have some friends who have told me there is no reason to assume we won't be called and that everything picks up where it was left off. I can't fathom why there are folks with December 2015 video interviews going to class now while January 2015 video interviewees are still waiting for a FTF. I won't try to make sense of it. I'm grateful I've gotten this far and I hope that I'll get to the next step too. There isn't much to do but wait I guess. Keep on keepin' on!
I did receive that email as well. And I did notice that guys were getting video and F2F interviews quickly over the holidays. The only thing I can think of is that they are trying to balance the mil guys with civilians, as toga had mentioned. Frustrating for us, but it is what it is. I'm still hopeful that we will be interviewed at some point. Just gotta have a little more patience.

Really?

So you recommend not complying with the rules and just going along and doing your own thing?

It's very simple. Do what you are told-exactly. I think that does still (and always has) applied at any airline ever.

They all hate noncompliance.

And unless an airline gives out a number or email where it is cool to check for an update (I have never heard of any airline doing so,) I think my advice is still sound.

Of course, I'm not sitting here just trolling. I'm actually trying to keep some people from screwing up.

I'm saying you have no idea what the process is now

I'm pretty sure it would still involved following rules and using some damn common sense.

Are you really trying to get people popped for calling to "see what's up," trollboy?

(And yes, I think I can infer that it would still be unacceptable. Quite obviously unacceptable.)

He cautiously went there in person (because he lived in DFW) and inquired after sometime and they lost his CJO. No joke!!!! He had to then wait all over again and finally started with me.
Now if you and a handful of other guys are still waiting then I don't assume they lost your app. Are you military? I ask because out of the OTS that were interviewing in January when I was there I would say only 2-3 out of 20 were non-mil per interview group. Most of that has to do with the 60-70% contracted flows who are non-mil. I think they are trying to get an even mix. So that may be why you haven't been called. Just a guess though. If you are mil I don't know why.
Haha. That is crazy. Good thing he checked! I am not military. I've speculated the same about balancing military with civilian, but of course I am just guessing about a cause.

I cam't imagine them just losing the guy.... I guess showing up in person would be the best tactic.

Just damn. Superior department, I guess.

Combination of the 767s getting parked and the reduction in winter flying. There was at least one guy that got the 767 as a new hire, got displaced into the 320, then displaced again into the 190. 3 training events in the first year, on probation. Ouch.
On the last bid there was quite a bit of foreword movement.
