I know one as well...this individual completed the video interview months ago...notified this week for an interview in DFW...he has since joined another major and is in trng...AA must be lead turning there 2017 OTS hiring we have been hearing about.

OTS interviewing restarting August 18th.
Last recallee estimated to be in the late September class. Three (?) January poolies left and the all the February poolies still waiting. Poolie might start in late September or early October depending upon how many recallees are in the second September class.
Based on the pool size, and previous interview to class date lag time, new OTS training might restart in late October or early November??
Regardless of the exact timing it's restarting which is the good news.

DCA recently has had some movement on the AA side. Junior guy took about 10 months to get DCA. Currently only 737. LUS is Airbus. Post SLI it will probably be both.
If you're on the north or east side of DCA PHL is a bigger base and has more variety in both equipment and types of flying.

I can verify the re-start of OTS interviewing. Passed the video in January, and I had a Feb interview date which I had to decline due to a military reserve commitment. Yesterday I was invited back for the final 2-day. Looks like first available OTS date was 17 Aug.
