Get a good night sleep.
Unlike some other places, the testing is said to not be a deciding factor for the interview process. It's more of a stress test - gets harder as you go and feels like you're being test to failure.

I would second the Emerald Coast recommendation. I was going to suggest that you might not be able to find a spot so quickly without travelling, but it looks like they're doing webinars with a pretty regular frequency now.

Just finished Indoc for the 9/20 class. Pretty much a great experience, esp coming from the regional world.

Got the 190 out of PHL, not my first choice but I was on the younger side of the group. Any heads up of what to expect with reserve usage, expected flying etc...
Thanks!

I wasn't thrilled when I got the 190 either, but knowing what I know after about 17 months here, I'd probably choose it if I had the chance. Movement is fast and you'll hold a line relatively quickly which means more money and days off usually. The trips aren't great, but there are no redeyes. Also lots of trips start and/or end with deadheads which makes commuting less stressful.

Regarding reserve usage, I didn't get used much on my two months of short call (had to ask for trips to get consolidated), was used about 11-12 days a month on long call (2 months), and then held a line after that. The captains are generally younger and have been pretty cool for the most part.

The downside is that the flying is pretty high workload and can be frustrating with lots of ground stops, edct times, and quick turns.

Have fun!

190 flying is basically regional stuff. If you're used to doing six to eight leg days with 35 min turns you'll think it's cake. If you're coming from a different background you're going to feel like it's a high work load.

Thanks Clint. Hard to shake the idea that we have to prove something to the recruiter. Hoping for a call.

How many 190's were in your drop? The class on 10/18 I think has 52 in it so I'm wondering how many 190's, 6,10 or 12.

FWIW 190 qual training isn't bad. It's in CLT which is nice and the instructors on the 190 are all good guys to include the FE's. I never had a bad instructor.

Typically Airways could only handle six 190's a class. Since the amount of sims hasn't changed that is probably what it will be moving forward.

Did I read that right, 52 new hires in the last class? Wow.

42 in the 18 Oct class. I'm very interested to see how many E-190s.
