Where did age come in to your latest erroneous assessment ?

I don't recall discussing age. I DO recall noting the picture of a pilot (more likely an ad model) whose uniform had several noticeable flaws. Perhaps what you think you're seeing are your own flaws in perception ?

The pilot depicted in the photo is younger than you Eagle.

Relative youth in not a flaw in itself. ;-)

You did mention 'double windsor', therefore age = old.

No, I said "Windsor", but again, what does age have to do with anything ?

By the same token, I'll make illogical and unrelated references too; How about, inability to decipher correctly = infantile ?

Never implied it was.

He may not even be a pilot, but he IS younger than me. Again, nothing I said had anything to do with age. That was something YOU just ingratiated into the discussion to use as springboard to take it to a personal attack level.

I understand though. You're a Usapian and that's in your nature. It's the one area you guys seem to excel at.

The hat policy isn't only easy to change (if some effort is put into it), it saves the company money. Pay and qol take forever to change and, sure, are easily more important. You think mgmt. cares about your silly hats?

This is an easy thing to fix and, for better or worse, is a highly contentious issue. Just fix it. Most pilots would prefer to go optional. Almost all actually. How do I know.? Since the hat went optional at my airline, I've seen 3 guys wear it. All bald.

I'm hearing they have decided mandatory hats, jackets (double-breasted), as well as lace up shoes.... Dark grey in color for the uniform.

Anyone else hearted anything?

Welp, that is going to make a lot of those velcro shoes wearers unhappy.

Had a wear tester on the JS yesterday. Uniforms will be wear tested beginning in January-March followed by a comment period. Currently the uniform is a Dark Gray. The jacket is indeed double breasted and the hat currently is mandatory. The biggest complaint mentioned, besides the double breasted Euro-Trash look (his words), are the pregnancy pants. The pants have a high waist and elastic in the sides that stretch. No mention of specific shoes.

Check with Herman over at DAL. He has all the lace shoe info.

I thought American currently allowed it's pilots to wear nice boots. Am I mistaken?
