MB gives you rights in the SLI. The APA is the CBA. They wanted it, they got it. They gave the west their own committee, we deserve one too.
I agree you DID when there was a question of 3 lists but that is no longer the case. There are but 2 lists and usapa has decided to not to attend in a showing of not supporting and or honoring the arbitration result. Its of no real issue as the SLI will continue and the east is represented within the the NIC award.

According to the latest e-mail, APA has now pulled their proposed seniority list.
Wonder if they realized it was a complete over-reach and not "superior".

To be fair it's aapsic, not apa. The aapsic is against the Sli continuing.

Arado 234,

I'm not going to quote your post in hopes you can edit it and take it down before it's too late.

Let's not go there. Nobody wins when we start playing that game. Not in this business.

I don't think that's it at all. I think what has to be remembered here is that all parties except the west based their lists off the idea that there were 3 lists. Now that its been made right only 2 lists exist, APA will need to do a couple of things. First they need to redo their list to incorporate the NIC list to ensure they avoid any potential DFR issues. Second, look for APA to make an attempt to protect the wide body flying but only on the capt side. Yeah I know but rarely does anyone protect the first officer seats. I don't really know why but they just don't.

I seriously doubt it. I imagine that they figure if they have to start with the Nic then they need to be more aggressive because so many west guys don't bring to this merger the seats that their name is beside.

Even if you go with the premise that there are only two lists that doesn't mean that we would advocate to have them merged the same way.

If there is no east committee our DFR and MB rights will have been breached. Period.

The first lawyer for a DFR is being consulted on Monday.

Highly doubtful. Their proposal (the LAA committee and not APA) was based on fundementals and if anything IF only one competing model (which includes the Nic) is presented in opposition, that impacts their fundementals differently. I can only wonder if aside from a different feathering methodolgy model is selected (whether further refined or modified) that fences aren't more prevelent. From what I heard, the APA had perhaps 6-10 "models" based on various counter-positions by the other two parties. If only a Nic based competing model is now in play for the arbitrators to consider, it may require a different competing model to ensure the interests of LAA pilots are represented properly.
