Wise choice! You can't tell me that the company is not collecting data about you through FB and other social media.

Maybe the superior pilots should wear the swastika on their gray tie instead of the eagle? Would make it easier for us to get out of their superior way!

Edit: Quick fact check. Couple of things:

1st new hire class was January 2011, not late 2010. Most of them had way more than 3000 hours, if not more than double. But let's get those facts not get into the way of a superior story!

In fact, prior to December 9, 2013, they hired approximately 750 pilots – all but 50-70 of which were hired under the pre-greenbook contract. The demographics of those pilots – median age of hire was 27, expected to go to the right seat of an Embraer (no other legacy airline flies group 1 aircraft currently). Most came from the right seat of a regional as they could not recruit many of the highly qualified applicants that held out for American. Median hours of new hires were 1800-3000 total time with minimal, if any, pilot in command time. The demographic of the Legacy AA new hires from October 2013 until the hiring process was streamlined in August 2014: median age 40-45, expected to go the right seat of group 2 or group 3 aircraft at an airline that had not hired since 2001, with 6000-10000 median hours total time and 2000-4000 pilot in command hours. The apples to apples comparison of new hires didn’t occur until August 2014 when new hires for both groups went through one hiring and selection process."

I guess the AArogance is part of indoc?

Well, he may have a point. I could never pass the AA psych eval questionnaire. Is he an eagle flow?

Is the 27 year old median age correct for third listers hired after 2010?

Did he thank any of his Airways cohorts for getting DOH for seniority versus Occ date?

27 sounds too young for the average. I would guess around 34 maybe. Still a much younger group than is currently being hired. The new class pictures look like the average is closer to 45.

I was 29 and I was the youngest in class. His numbers are way off. My new hire class were all captains at some point and a few had some heavy international time.

I was hired by LUS. The median in my class was mid to late 30s, and everyone had tons of turbine PIC. The only FOs were from LCCs, and they were Captains at their jobs before then. It was a really fun group - I was fortunate to have been part of it.

That said, I've been working with some of the new guys hired from the AA process, they've all been really cool too. I guess you'll always get one or two that slip through the cracks, and unfortunately this guy decided to actually open his mouth. Not going to waste what few brain cells I have left getting worked up over it. :: shrug ::

Whoever wrote this letter (if it's even real) went down to their Proctologist's office to get the facts they put in it. I'm starting to doubt it's authenticity, as we have yet to see the whole thing, or anyone else saying they have seen it.

But, let's say it does exist. What would be the point? The only one I can think of is lobbying to change the snapshot date. That ain't gonna happen.

Recruiting said the average 2014 newhire at AA had 5550 hrs. Don't know where the author got his numbers from.

So guys were refusing US in 2010-2013 and holding out for AA instead?? Where's the proof of that?

And US had 20 Ejets. That's about 100-120 jobs. Uh, mist of the newhires expected to hold Group II FO jobs, just like the LAA newhires that got hired 1-4 years after the LUS guys.

There is no law against writing stupid stuff.
