I'm sure fleet planning might have something to do with it and with LAA getting Airbus/Boeing Deliveries it wouldn't surprise me if we all went LAA. Especially when they said they were getting almost 4 planes a month this year.

If you got an email saying US, I'd believe that over what I heard. I heard an equipment drop that seemed consistent with the class size. I also know a 19 Jan OTS that received an email from Patty saying that the entirety of that class was LAA, so that led me to believe the equipment drop I heard was correct. We'll know soon. Can anyone chime in regarding where to include volunteer work on the AA app? I've heard guys in the past adding it to work history/employment?

Wow!

No LUS AB at all?

Flights have definitely cancelled due to lack of FOs.

IIRC, they haven't given out an LUS AB to a new hire in well over a year. Just 190's and then a slow trickle of 190 guys move to the AB.

Of the ones that get 190, do most seem to bid off at first chance? I'd have to weigh a second year on Category 1 FO pay vs. long term training. I just wondered if guys were hanging out on it hoping to upgrade fast. Correct me if I'm wrong but it's a few years to hold left seat in that, yes?

Volunteer work? You gotta be kidding me. This is a job not a college application.

Navy buddy went to one of those conferences/conventions, was told you might want to do some community service.:confused::confused:

Funny thing is, military guys are trained to go out and kill people because our politicians cannot figure things out and in order to get hired, they want a Boy Scout on their resume.

I'd say that everyone except the top ten on the 190 bid off, either to 190 CA or more likely to AB F/O. The problem is, there aren't a lot of vacancies on the LUS side, so some guys are getting stuck in the right seat.

The pay difference is $40 so most jump ship. Used to be you'd jump straight into a secondary line, but that's not the case anymore. I'm at the start of my third year and barely holding a secondary in PHL. Lots of former 190 guys on reserve.

What is your concern with training? It's easy...
