Each bid run, lineholding FO's can enter the employee number of a CA they refuse to fly with. Reserves don't get a choice, but probably can get out of it if it's thought to be a real problem.
Word is that the CA who gets a very large number of DNP's gets kicked out their base.

Does LUS have a mechanism for "problem children"?

There are a bunch of AA guys not changing seats (triggers a lock- in) to give themselves the option of bidding for CLT ASAP. And some took AB upgrades for the same reason. CLT 737 would be 'new equipment in a base' and you'd be able to break any lock- ins.

It will be interesting to see how many 'bunny hop' once single FOS is in place and cross bidding is allowed (early 2017?).

You all may also want to consider the likely possibility of base closures, and the resulting displacements as a result, if the history of Parker's actions in past mergers and consolidations are any gauge...

I don't think Charlotte will be any harder to get or any easier. One thing people forget is how senior CA and FO slots are on the baby bus in CLT alone.... Throw in wide body and how senior that is I don't think you'll see it being any more senior then it is today..... Tons of FL guys coming up to CLT. Ton of Midwest guys going to PHL and CLT which might want ORD/DFW. After it all plays out I personally think it'll be a wash and things will remain status quo.

The real question is what equipment ends up in what base..... That'll ultimately decide who can get what and when because of locks etc as Slice mentioned above.....

There is a small group of very junior AB FOs in CLT trying to get out and can't. The last 3 bids had CLT as the junior base for AB openings.

Actually DCA seems to be the junior bastion for 320 FOs. Wouldn't you agree?

Nope. Last bid CLT was the only one with movement.

We will see again in a few weeks with the close of this bid.

Assuming we are under a combined list.. A lot of guys live in Florida and i think we retire 250 or 300 a year in the next couple of years. Right now not much going on obviously.

Off topic, how many more 757s are we going to park? Are we still sending some to the island of Phoenix?

Retirements? Nov 2014 data -

2016 - 320
2017 - 401
2018 - 540
2019 - 665
2020 - 801

Three years 800+
Two years 900+

Retirements will generate a lot of movement. Which includes base transfers.
