I finally just broke $100k this past year. 74 hr/mnt avg credit @$117/hr. So anyone saying 2nd year over a $100k without overtime is embellishing because they don’t want it to seem that bad. For whatever reason.
In regards to the 73. You should only plan on making Guarantee. I can’t emphasize that enough right now. We don’t know what the economy is going to do. Don’t come here in hopes of making what others have in previous years because it could just blow up in year face. So, first year is 50/hr guarantee second onward is 62/hrs. The wage for the first three years is the same for the first three years at $80/hr. That’s $4000/month once you are off training pay Second and third year is $4960. Take those minus union taxes, union dues, healthcare etc.

$1,600 (training pay) X 4 months = $6,400
79.60 X 50 hours (first year monthly guarantee) X 8 months = $31,840
Year 2 - $59,222
$79.60 X 62 hours (min. monthly guarantee) X 12 = $59,222
Year 3 - $59,557
$80.05 X 62 hours (min. monthly guarantee) X 12 = $59,557
Year 4 - $62,771
$84.37 X 62 hours (min. monthly guarantee) X 12 = $62,771

that being said it is theoretically possible but don’t come here expecting it. Expect guaranteed and 4 months in training We will be properly staffed shortly with no attrition and ot will go very senior. Line value will drop to min.

All the cheerleaders here for the company make me laugh. I said plan on guarantee and quoted pay numbers as such. If one wants to VX, outbase or cut deals with scheduling to make coin then more power to them. For everyone else maybe crew planning won’t run that 75 hour line you got awarded thru the line sodomizer. One can only hope.
Our union is only as strong as it’s weakest link. They try hard, but are fighting with two hands tied behind their back. We have a lot of weak links here and the company takes full advantage of them. There’s a reason UPS is the highest paid, the IPA doesn’t tolerate the games that go on here daily. They police their own, and stand united. UPS management at least respects them even if they fight tooth and nail on every word in their contract. Our management calls us a bunch of Indians. Yet 75% of our pilot group opts in to fly to all these world hotspots not minding exposing themselves and their families to a deadly virus....for what? 150% pay. After a month of the company dragging their feet on that.
The company is laughing at us all the way to the bank as they close out another week of non negotiations. All they have to do now is wait a few years for an arbitrator to dictate terms of our next CBA. What the company gives with one hand they’ll take away with the other. Those on straight pay will likely see their W-2’s decrease just like after the Atlas/Polar merger.
Atlas management waited out the pilot group till the world changed, just as all the legal appeals to get out of amalgamation were exhausted. They have an injunction locked and loaded ready to whack the union with if there’s even a hint of a job action. You have to hand it to AAWH management. This will be a case study for decades at Wharton on how to suppress your workers pay and benefits to the maximum extent possible while getting triple the productivity out of them.

So how 'bout we say this: A pilots' decision to VX or Opt out is entirely his or her own. They will be a respected member of the union and welcome around me any time, regardless of their scheduling decisions.
