If past patterns are any predictor, I'm guessing that calls will go out this Friday and/or early next week. I know the HR folks are quite busy with the MIA interviews this week, so I was thinking maybe they would make the calls last week... But I'm sure there would have been some chatter on this thread if that had happened.

They did tell us at the ANC interviews that there were three possible outcomes for each interviewee:
1. Hired with a class date
2. Hired, you'll be notified of a class date when one comes available (you're in the pool).
3. Thanks for playing
But as far as I know, none of us got that first outcome. Am I wrong about that? Anyone? Anyone?...
I did hear that 49 of us were selected for hire.

Great group of interviewees went through today. Good luck to all. We NEED fresh bodies to fill seats (and hopefully stay).
FWIW: Management type recently said that the 767 classes are growing from 6 to 12 per class and the 747 classes are growing from 12 to 24 per class. Also, Atlas is now doing recurrent sim training and checks at two other facilities in MIA in order to free up the Atlas sims for new hires and upgrades. Also said was the desire to grow to around 2000 pilots ... This last bit to be taken with as much salt as necessary

Some notes gathered from 9 June:
Vmcg, V1m definitions.
Fuel requirements
Read this METAR. What do these obscure things mean ($, AO2, PSA?) Where can you find out more information about them? When and for what area is it valid?
Read this TAF. When and for what area is it valid?
Vicinity of the airport means what?
ILS hold short looks like what? Hold area in force when?
Look at this airport chart. Tell me about it.
Look at this approach plate. Tell me about the minimums for Cat I, precision and nonprecision. Tell me about MSA and for what distances/altitudes it is valid. When can you descend? can you do LNAV/VNAV at your current airline? Tell me how to do an RNAV approach.
What does that asterisk by ATIS* mean?
Winds magnetic or true for what?
NAT Charts. Corridors are how wide, what is SLOP, how do you divert, where can you look for references on how to divert. Many references and information on the back of many charts.
What does this picture mean on the approach plate (ALSF1 AND ALSF2 pictograms) What does that mean, and what do each of these lighting systems have?
Give us a briefing.
how do you approach the crew concept
Tell us a few Atlas customers from each of our working arenas
What makes a good pilot
what do you do on your overnights
Drunk pilot
Nonstandard (meh) pilot
--Very -- nonstandard pilot
Tell us about yourself, why Atlas
More from others, perhaps.
