Your worst case scenario is not a likely outcome unless something catastrophic were to cause our economy and consequently our industry to collapse.
It will be a very long time. If they gave us UPS's contract tomorrow it wouldn't solve their staffing problems for this year. I'd argue that they're delaying this CBA so long that we have no idea what the market will look like. That may be their plan. Delay until the market changes then force a concessionary contract in front of an arbitrator. Then buy Centurion when that contract is up. As for the arbitrator, he'd be bound by the Southern and Atlas contracts IF it's my worst case scenario that the company is surely pushing for. In that scenario we'd see Kalitta plus $5 an hour plus similar or worse work rules/retirement 2.5 years from now for a duration of 5 years. Then we'd be a minimum of 10 years out from fixing it...

And what exactly do you think they are delaying for, DAVE? Economic cycle lengths average around 6 years. The last recovery began in, what, 2009? Every passing day favors management. They are still suing us for how to proceed with the merger. Management is determined to win, and when management is determined to win I put my money on management.

The framework agreement appears to culminate during/after peak season.

Smells like the company will negotiate up until till then to keep everybody flying through peak season, then walk away before signing.....leaving us hanging, waiting for the following year to have leverage once again.

Until airplanes stop moving and/or something forces a signature, I'm dubious of any claims from anybody.

What exactly did I write that made you want to scream at me mr. Caps lock? i dont care nor did i give a slant on what the company is waiting for or why. My response to Globe was in the eventuality of an arbitrated CBA what i thought an arbitrator may or may not be able to effectively argue given the current state of our situation. Nothing more. We can all rage on here about what the company is doing and why but speculation just causes undue stress. Bye now....im paddling back out.

There certainly are a whole bunch of moving parts to that purely speculative scenario. i certainly hope it doesn't take that turn.

There is no set time when HR can call, could be a day a week a month or never, you will never know until they call. Since you can type and formulate a sentence I'm sure they will call soon. Best of luck!

None of us has all the facts. We only have our beliefs and opinions.

Dave is an eternal optimist.

Most of the rest of us are not so much so.

Depends on your philosophical slant and professional history in this industry.

My opinion is that the company will not give us anything. We will have to take it from them and that will only happen when the planes stop moving.
