Have you gone to the job fair? A buddy of mine went to Women In Aviation in March, is interviewing this month and has 2800ish TT and 2 internal recs.

Get out of our country and stop taking American jobs!!!....

Totally kidding, Walt. Yes they definitely do. I've met several with foreign passports. As long as the paperwork matches up!

As CC said yes Atlas do hire resident green card holders and always have, in fact they happily hired foreigners into Stansted and put them on DOD flights all the time. Polar on the other hand sometimes did and sometimes invoked the CRAF principle of citizens only.

That's awesome good for him! No, I haven't done any fairs yet. Hoping they'll be out at another fair soon and I'll make it happen.

To the guys who finished training in the last year or so how many times did you get to go home for the weekend during your training in Miami?

Never, My wife came to MIA for a visit. You will train on weekends but every ones schedule will vary greatly and change daily. Going home is risky unless you are close by.

In 747 class Dec-Feb, so had about 5-6 days for Christmas, then 4 days around mid-Jan, but not necessarily for MLK Day but was close to it. Then had another 3-4 day hole in last week of class. I left for the first two longer breaks, but not the last one. You will have some 3-4 day gaps once you are in the CPT/Sim phases just because there are too many trainees to get everyone in the sim every day. Some guys who lived in Florida went home weekly and one guy daily.

Big Tip: IF you do decide to go somewhere, make sure you talk to the schedulers, Dee or Sandra, to ensure that they know you are leaving. If you don't and they move training into your gap, you will be responsible for it and probably fired or at least get in some trouble if you no show it because you went home.

I personally had quite a bit of time off once after the oral. Not uncommon to have a 2-3 days off. That being said, 4am sim slots come early... Between the studying, and crazy sim schedules - it's best to hang in Miami. Maybe take a quick trip to they keys to get away from it all for a weekend.

This is no longer the method method? Do I need to apply again through the new system?

Also, applied initially about two months ago. No email with test so far. Also have an internal recommendation. Low time though 3000TT 1500turbine 300 121 pic....

Normal to be waiting so long for the test?
I checked. EVERYTHING online now. You have to make a profile, and go from there. The old system is gone.
