Don't forget your on the hook for 17 days, travel for two, one day before and after your line, so now gone for 19 from home, you really want to vx? Be gone from your home and family more???
This place not only needs better pay rates but will have to drop amount of days we are on the road. I can work less days , and make more at just about every other carrier.

We just had a union leader (in the Exco/MEC) , who is 58 years old, leave for UPS this past month. Six months ago, we had a Negotiating Committee member leave for UPS.
That should give you an indication of how bad it is here.
You do know the regionals are hiring, right?

Then, last spring, Atlas abruptly terminated our section six contract negotiations and announced that they were going to force an amalgamation with Southern Air's pitiful contract. If the company is successful, Atlas pilots would probably be looking at a pay cut. Management has announced that they intend to fight with us for "years" over this. This is current the situation here.

8 and others who are long time posters on this board have good advice regarding Atlas. Folks here shouldn't be so quick to discount their well informed advice. Think of it as 2 guys sitting at a bar having drinks at F St, Jetlag Club, the Irish Village or your favorite watering hole. If you take the time to read through their historical posts and disregard your emotions you'll see they're simply trying to make sure you know what you're getting into.
Atlas' 2016 fourth quarter results are due to be released on 23 Feb. You might do well to pay close attention to that earnings call. Read between the lines and ask yourself what was NOT mentioned. That's just as important as what is discussed.
The toxic Atlas environment just took another step backwards.
Today, Atlas pilots are getting sued by our bosses because they don't want to continue section 6 contract talks that legally started before the acquisition of Southern Air. I don't care how they try to spin it, bottom line is they want to force an arbitration to prevent me from voting on our next contract. Are they that afraid of our vote and desire for an industry STANDARD contract? Yes they are because they want to throw a little money at the problem, put lipstick on the pig of a contract and not fix the major issues we have problems with.
Well, our pilots are already voting... with their feet.
Not cool!

Absolutely have apps out.
Not only that but I could no longer recommend this place to anyone. It's not even worth the type.
Horrific,y low first year pay
Current contract that is sub par on every level
Holes in contract that effect your quality of life and pay every month
Managements steadfast to force a new merged contact and call it good? Means sub par contract for probably the rest of the life of this airline.
The current mass exodus of everyone here, youre risking coming to just be furloughed.
Run run run far away from this place. Don't look back. You're better off just about anywhere.
