You will work 17 days and if you don't live in base you will be gone from home 18-19 days a month.

Also, I am hearing the recruiters are telling everyone a new contract is coming soon...That is a lie similar to the one that they told new hires three years ago when they were telling everyone in all the new hire classes that the American Airlines pilot contract was coming within the next six months.

You will be entering a dead-end job where management is at war with the pilots. Atlas has hired 1,000 pilots in the last four years. Do the math, you will be a First Officer for a very long time.

Consider yourself warned.

Yeah, I remember that line. That's exactly what they told me when I interviewed 3 years ago. "We're going to have a new contract very soon, and you'll be a Captain in 2 years!".

Three years later, and I'm an FO who is at least 2 years away from an upgrade who has never made more than $70,000 a year to be gone from home 19 days a month while having my sleep cycle absolutely wrecked on every trip.

I'm glad to hear that the new contract is finally right around the corner!

When I interviewed in early 2011 they were saying Captain upgrade in 2 years. It took 5 years. I'm hoping Atlas stays around for another 2 1/2 years so I can retire. If you have another job there is no reason to come to Atlas.

Anybody with less then 5 years to go to retirement shouldn’t be allowed to vote on a new contract.
Considering you will be deciding on our future and not yours.

Anyone with less than 2 years should also be excluded due to having recently shown very poor judgement in choice of employers and probably having shiny jet syndrome.

There will not be any new contract to vote on in the next 2 1/2 years if Purchase has their way. Refund my dues and I will gladly abstain from voting.

The simple one first. We have two types of aircraft. The odds are close to 50/50 which one you would get.

We have two kinds of lines, one month lines and two month lines. Atlas calls them 30 day lines and 60 day lines even when they cover 31 days and the "60 day" lines are almost always 61 days.

On the 74 the one month lines tend to be a block of 15-17 days. The two month lines tend to have 4-9 days toward the beginning of the first month, 5-12 days off, a block of 14-17 days across the end/beginning of the month, another block of 5-12 days off and 4-9 to finish the month.

Looking at the 76 FO lines in CVG even their one month lines tend to be broken up. Six to 9 days on, 5 to 10 days off and another 6 to 9 days on. Their 2 month lines don't look much different. Out of 93 lines only a couple had a block of 13 days off.

Just curious ... does that mean that the folks that weren't around to sign the current contract that was negotiated prior to their arrival shouldn't enjoy the protections and benefits provided by that contract?

I know you're just yanking the chain here, but be careful not to stir up a lot of angst and animosity where there needs to be none right now!

You’re showing your ignorance; no Atlas pilots will ever be allowed to vote on a CBA, and those guys will be stuck vxing for their 401K until hanging it up in 5 years.. #AtlasContract2024
