No. Under the RLA until the negotiations are declared at an impasse it just drags on. As long as something comes out of the meetings every few months it is considered progress.

747s are crewed with about 25 pilots per airframe...

That's ridiculous. So they can drag this out indefinitely.

Not counting this week, how long have you been in the airline business especially under the RLA? News Flash, the NMB has done this for 40 years.

Republic, Kalitta, and the old Endeavour pilot groups were in negotiations for about 8 years.

Thank our politicians who are pro mgmt and hate unions and labor.

I have 4 years 121 experience. No union though.

Are you a pompous ass always, or just on APC?

If you are going to play the game you gotta know the rules.

https://web.archive.org/web/20060504.../media/rla.asp

Especially at Atlas where the company is suing the pilots for allegedly violating them.

In fact, all the keyboard warriors would do well to familiarize themselves with them, because postings on APC and other boards have been introduced by airline managements in an attempt to show that unions were behaving illegally.

Rumor is that Southern sent home an entire new hire class of 5 because they would have never passed training, so be careful for what you wish for.......

Our complex operating environment simply doesn't support this hiring practice.

The blood will be on the FAA and Atlas Executive's hands....

Completely preventable and sad.
Sad that we all saw this coming but we were ignored. With absolutely nothing changing at the company and management going on like it is business as usual, it looks like we can expect the same result again. People need to be put in jail.

While that might be true......wouldn't the Sr. Execs just have had them fly around in the empty 737's until they got more experience. After all it justs costs AAWH a couple thousand an hour to fly empty 737's.
