As pointed out, the instructors and check airmen at Atlas are line pilots. They get a 10% override any month they do training or checking duties.

I saw the job posted online and they separate the two atlas and southern. So it’s a bit confusing.

Anyways, thanks.

If my application has been "under review" for a month now, is that good or bad? Anything I can do to give it a bump up?

I’d say normal if not still on the short side depending on references and experience. Unless you have an in that’s good with someone in HR a job fair might help. Other than that waiting game and luck of the draw.

Would Atlas even consider me for the wide body FO position without the turbine PIC??
Thanks
Zero Zero is Correct. Definitely apply. Understand that anyone with limited or Zero PIC shouldn’t hesitate to apply as companies can secure you for quite awhile as you cannot jump ship comparably to another candidate with significant PIC can. Just flew with a 5000 plus FO with no PIC. He’s happy, but options are limited. Really only matters when it makes you happy and lends itself a positive for your career aspirations, etc.

TwinWasp knows the business, 10% override is the key. Now if your super senior, live in MIA or nearby and instruct at the Training Center you have it made, that’s another bump in itself based on availability and events you perform. Several commute to instruct as well, it’s that lucrative with bare minimum line duty. Senior, Senior, Senior for the most part.

Default Meet n Greet

For any of the Atlas aviators,

If y’all live near JAX, let me know. I’d be happy to meet up for a beverage or chow. I’m old school and prefer sitting down one on one to get the scoop. DEN or MIA are options as well.

I liked flying out of JAX when we lived on Amelia Island/Fernandina Beach area hoping it was a quiet area to chill. Moved back to TN after we figured out it was too quiet (sort of), BUT teaming with younger folk trying to outlive their grandparents and remain as squatters 1 min from the beach. Sorry I digressed, but searching this database has quite a bit of info if you don’t get a bite.

If you find the “real scoop” let us know. A lot of us have been searching for “the scoop” for many years, but we can point out trends as highlights! Somewhat joking, it’s kind of different for many of us here. Good, bad, ugly....

Anyone recently applied to the pathway program for the 737 and got an update yet? Also wondering if someone knows what bases 737 FO usually get?

No bases, just one base CVG. As far as I know we don't have more 73 classes scheduled in the near future. Not sure about the program tho.
