Thats my concern as well, so as much as I want to fly the 747 I think I will initially just go for the 777 and either a CVG or LAX base. Probably do 18 months in Dallas to build seniority and have a fairly straight forward commute to either of those bases. Plus QF goes direct to Australia from Dallas on the A380 so good for traveling home, vacation etc.

Maybe after 2 years and some decent seniority have a look at the 747 and avoid the ANC commute all together.

Hi all, pretty keen to join the Atlas family next year but was hoping to get an idea of time frame and start date flexibility before I hit submit on my app. I realise everything is subject to change, but if for example I was to interview in Jan, would it be be acceptable/possible to ask for a July/August start date? Or do they not look that far ahead and should I only be applying with 3ish months from when I’d be able to start?
Am keen to get the ball rolling but need to make sure the timing is right with the family so I don’t want to peak too early and have them tell me you can start in 3 months or not at all. (Obviously I realise I might just get put in a hold pool(or fail the interview) and have very little say in the matter, but would appreciate peoples opinions on how flexible Atlas are with start dates)

Is the 777s rest area the standard “bunk beds” above and below style to the left of the flight deck?

Above and below just behind the cockpit on the left side.

QF stopped flying to DFW when covid hit.
DFW to ANC is an easy 2 legger. Stop either in DEN if you like UA, or SEA if you want AA.

DFW to ANC is a daily nonstop on AA 6 months out of the year. May-Oct I believe.

Yes it is during the cruise season, that’s the only when the commute to ANC becomes super easy as all the carriers add a ton of flights up to Alaska.

United at one point had Double daily to ORD, and daily to IAH, DEN, EWR

AA had double daily to ORD (1 was on a 787), DFW.

DL ran a 76 to ATL and daily to MSP, SLC, SEA. But not familiar with the frequency DL ran.

Those were the summer flights I remember.
