The third pax 767 is delayed coming out of heavy check. Outsourcing might have something to do with that.

We have plenty of trained pilots awaiting OE. Many of us have 757/767 experience; they have been assigning those to the AMC flights now. There was a hold-up within the FAA (and a MX cancellation) in signing off a bunch of our check-airmen; that's soon resolved. In the next month and a half we will go from 2 PAX birds to 3 PAX birds and 2 Cargo birds (5 767's flying). Two upcoming 767 new-hire classes to start staffing towards some of the remaining 3 Cargo birds to be delivered.

Well, I won't be specific for security reasons, but it left today from the Midwest and went overseas. After the layover, it returns to the East Coast. I think that's enough info. If you're an Atlas guy, you can figure it out.

Of course it does. All I'm pointing out is that you didn't have the equipment to fly your contract due to late delivery of a D check airplane.

Again, all I did was point out that if Atlas acquired NAA assets it would give you trained crews, extra airplanes and their ACMI contracts to help build your business.

Sheesh! You guys have some kind of inferiority complex?

Nah, just trying to figure YOU out. I can see where your first posts came from - World is getting a lot smaller (been there, done that), Atlas is trying to spin up a similar program and needs bodies, put the two together and boom, problem solved! I get that.

But then it seemed like you were pushing the merger thing, and our guys pointed out some reasons why that might not happen. So now you try taunting us, saying we can't handle it and we're not qualified, but no, really you only meant there was a delay in the D check (being performed by an outside vendor).

It's just intriguing to compare what you claim with what I heard last week from one of the guys out doing proving runs, that's all.

Let's see if we can put an end to the "troll"ing...

DIP financing is in place...18 1/2%, but what the heck? That'll be the Debtors problem. The reorganization plan is in process. Which means...

There will not be a purchase of assets.

But what the heck...just for grins and giggles...IF assets were purchased...they would be on the courthouse steps AFTER the airline shut down. So ANY jobs would be new hires...maybe preferrential interviews...maybe (but doubtful) preferrential hiring (you're not the only 767 drivers in the world)...new hires...because there would be no merger.

Of course it would be interesting. You guys dumped IBT because ALPA promised you SO much...maybe Brother Moak would write a letter asking the IBT to try and get you preferrential hiring (tell him to send it to the ExCo...not Hoffa)

I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you. They didn't even bother to show up and represent you at the creditors meeting the other day.

They DID get you a seat on the committee, right? Like the IBT Airline Division did for the World guys?

I'm not "pushing" anything.

It just looks like, to me, the whole Global bankruptcy thing looks like prepackaged deal to make the sale of the remaining assets palatable to Atlas.

Remember this...ATLAS approached Global with an offer to buy NAA. Global said, "No dice, unless you take World, too." Atlas didn't want anything to do with the MD-11s and now they're gone, as are the 757s.

Leaving what? The 767s and the 744s...all of which fit the Atlas fleet perfectly.

It just makes me think there's something in the wind. Now, I know you Atlas boys would prefer to grow organically, but even SWA (the kings of organic growth) recently proved it makes economic sense sometimes to grow through acquisition.

So don't get all defensive. No one's pushing a merger agenda. I'm just looking at the facts and drawing some conclusions. Your mileage may vary....
