Hi all,
I don't remember the answer to this question if was previously posted, but does Atlas not hire above a certain age... It's a topic that I don't really think about because I don't think/feel old. I have a touch over 6000 hrs TT and almost 3000 turboprop (ATR 72/42) PIC time (but no jet time). I have international time (India, Caribbean, South America). I also have 2 internal Atlas refs and one from Polar. But I'm 54 years old. If not the lack of jet time, is the age a deal-breaker?
Thanks for your thoughts...

I'll try. I had the short PNS bag from the prior life. I can use it for 10-12 days, since I have a good track record with them, I went for the 26 inch for more than 12 days at a time. The company will pay a checked bag fee so it gets checked if I don't have status on the airline I'm riding. I plan on doing laundry somewhere if I'm out for the full 17 days.
The -8 has an EFB but we're still using paper charts officially. Skype works for me but there are some issues with it in Dubai. There are some work arounds, I don't make that many calls back.
The Galaxy Tabs are being rolled out slowly, it'll be several more months I think before everyone has one.

Are new hires getting PIC type ratings? I saw somewhere that when the captain is on their rest break someone in the flight deck has to have the PIC rating. I was just curious. Once again thank you to all who help keep us informed!

Anybody in the July 23rd class know what is going on for our class? All they told me was, "We are Fedexing drug test info to you, complete it, fill it out, fax it back, and good luck on the 23rd." No mention of where we are staying or what the training schedule will be like. I dont even know what time to show up for training on the 23rd... I did call back but the HR guy I spoke with didnt know. It was rather vague, anyone get any more than this out of HR?

Brittney (spelling?) told me that once we took the drug test and had the results sent in we would be getting an email explaining more. She was going to be out of the office until Thursday. I wouldn't expect anything until then. Did you get the 747 too? Is there any 767 guys in that class out there? Can't wait to start!!
