The numbers that matter are the hire-rate from the interviews. Anyone can do an app online, hence the 9,000 number.
Numbers from the slide briefing at last week's interview: over 3 years' time, interviewed 610, hired 242. My calculator says 39.7% hire-rate from the interviews. FYI, the application number Atlas briefed at the interview presentation was 6,000 apps over the last three years.
