Received a call Friday 2/1/13, they left a message late afternoon which I didn't get until after close of business
I returned their call first thing Monday morning 2/4/13, no one answered, I left a message
Heard nothing for 9 days until they called back 2/13/13
Pre-screening phone interview 2/15/13
Taking the online test tomorrow morning 2/18/13
They told me to expect a March interview if I pass the online test

What is about you or what did you do that was special enough to get a call 14 days after applying and some of us still no peep after many months?

If the names of those you're talking about have not been awarded a base, then they will each fill one of those vacancies. Who knows how many more vacancies will be added this year? Keep watching!

Or it could just be that nothing about this industry or it's hiring practices have ever been fair! Don't think it's just Atlas. For as long as the airlines have been hiring pilots, no one can pin down what makes them call this person over that person. As soon as I crack that code, I'm going into the consulting business!
It looks like Atlas has plenty more hiring to do this year, I wish you luck that they call you!
