This has been typically the attitudes of my reserve leadership......most units are completely use to this...especially if you have training to go to...just make sure you get recurrent asap once you're finished, and try to stay current....(stay on their good side)....

So after training when our schedules saying pending for a long time whats the deal? Are we on the hook? Are we off? Do we need to be in our gateway? Do these pending days count towards our 13 days off....

You'll bid for your IOE footprint (or be assigned one, I suppose)...you'll get your 13 off, and the available OE days follow R1 rules. It's pretty slick...everywhere else I've worked it was "Well, you're not technically on reserve...but keep your phone on." Works nice here.

At least for me, my PNDG days changed to X days before I got to that point (after my footprint was awarded). Are you guys done now, or just coming up on it?

I would say it is dePNDING on if you answer the phone :-)

They will put your initial OE(R1) days on the remainder of your first month post training. Other than that go do what you want, comply with your OE(R1) days and bid an OE footprint sked the next month.
On my transition from the classic to the -400 last year I got lost in that cycle of nothing for almost two months, but if you do be careful of your consolidation time line. You don't want to have to do another PC as a NH, enough stress already.

Two options:

you haven't been notified of any assignment or any responsibility to be on call, so enjoy your time at home. they have your phone number, wait till they call. when they do, make sure they give enough time to get ready for your trip (say, if you aren't near home).

if you don't like the uncertainty of not knowing your days off for the rest of the month, call the OE scheduler in MIA tomorrow. Either they'll give you a footprint for the month or say they'll get back to you.
