Atlas stock dropped $9.00 last week.
How do you explain that?

 

Profit cut due to cargo slowdown

 

Atlas revised its Earning Per Share predictions for 2012. I think the earnings statement revised it down to $4.65 growth per share.

Wait, you are trying to figure out what Wall Street does about Atlas or the market as a whole?!! There is NO reasonable explanation for anything that the market does on most days...much less explain to the investors, analysts, and "experts" what Atlas' business plan is about, and what it is that we do.

They see airplanes, they equate us with the generic airline stock on the market.

They see cargo airplanes, they equate us with FDX, UPS, etc.

ATC explained very well what the business is all about, and you can research it yourself on many sites...

Did you read the entire press release?...there are some adjustments to the 2012 forecasts that spooked the "experts" and the investors (who are primarily institutional investors) who follow...wait for it...the "experts"!!

So, it is an incestuous relationship at the very least...

Guaranteed military pay opportunity vs the possibility of an Atlas class in Dec (which sources here say is very low) vs the possibility YOU will be in the Atlas class in Dec. Looks like an easy call unless you know you are ranked in the pool to make it to the first class.
